Welcome To Shattered!
Why
call it Shattered?
What is the guild about?
What makes it better than
other guilds?
These are the questions that
most people ask before choosing a new guild, and they are pretty
important to each person in different order. My order when I decided
to make this was exactly what you see, so I will answer them in that
order. Question one and two can usually be answered together,
Shattered dreams, Shattered hearts, Shattered Pride, Almost everyone
has had goals that they wanted to fulfill in Azeroth, They have
joined a guild that promised them, OHHHH we can help you get to where
you want, and then didn't come through in the end. We all have
different goals, Weather its to simply have time to get away from the
real world, forget that bill collectors are breathing down your neck,
or that your mom and dad don't understand why you spend all day in an
imaginary world, calling people you may have never met your friends,
or simply to play a game. The fact is we are all here to enjoy this
world, to have fun, to get frustrated at that little *****er who hits
a creature and runs away to let you kill it so he gets the exp.( ok
not so much) But you get the point I hope. We have all looked for
that enjoyment what ever it is and most guilds seem to fall extremely
short of the mark.
Shattered is about just that,
Here we take people of all kinds everyone who needs or wants a home,
weather it be the casual player who can only play once in a while, to
the extremely over active, over baring control freaks who want lvl 70
gods(yes Isaul, Exylus I mean you), here do we say oh we can make you
gods, NO! Here we offer you the chance for you to put your clicks
together with people who like you have the same goals, the same
wants, and in the end you are given the better chance to achieve your
goals, and let those who may not share all your dreams but who enjoy
seeing others achieve them be there to congratulate you, and help you
when they can, and the end it doesn't matter if no understands why
your here, it just matters that you are. That is exactly what makes
us a better guild, real people, real desires, real goals, real
chances just for you to take.

| New guild recruitment poster |

Exylus writes "Many guilds claim they are the best, they say things like raid with us we are the most fair, We guarantee you will get gear.
They play the high speed, low drag game of be with us and be the
best. It never really proves totally true. What they should be saying
is spend 24/7 online and you might find your way into a 25 man or a ten
man. You might get gear that is when you have enough DKP points.
Hell anymore you want fair you have to get in a pug, and then
welllll you have to hope that the Raid leader Doesn't really want that
rare epic mount that just dropped. But if he doesn't you can pug and
you can get the gear you want, but its still a big risk .
But then comes Shattered PUG rules with guild fair, Do you get a
guarantee to be in every raid we run, No you get the chance to get in
every raid we run, do you have to be on 24/7 to get gear if it drops,
No it just has to be for your main spec unless no one else needs its
for main spec then you just have to be lucky.
The truth is do you want a casual guild with good people, fair
chance at the gear you need, and not require you to be on for 12 hours
a week in order to raid, then this is it. This is your chance to most
likely find what your looking for.
We have cleared most all ten man content and want to start 25 man,
you don't have the best gear we will try and help you with that, you
have a life well you be on when you can, and we will try and work with
you or make raids when most members can be on.
You want to join go to

| Updates April 04 2009 |

|
Exylus writes "we have a few new updates to the website, Rules, and a bit more.
But first we would like to take this time to welcome all the new members to the guild, and to say we hope that you enjoy and hopefully find a home here with us.
Now changes to the website.
We have added an Application and any of your friends who would like to join the guild we would ask that they fill it out and send it, and then contact an officer to invite them into the guild.
This allows us some freedom and some advantages, first we don't have to be online in order for them to ask us to join. Second it allows us to see if the person will fit in with the rest of the members of the guild by what they say in the tell us about you box.
Next the rules for raid looting have been changed and tweeked and made a bit more fair. You can read them on the forums in the raid section they are a sticky and we would like if each raider would sign that post, with just a got it or have read it, so we know that you have read and understand them.
We are asking this to ensure that there will be no fights, in the raids.
Our raids have been progressing well and we are almost through Naxx.
If you would like to get in on the raids then you must pay attention to the forums, and sign up. But if you sign up then you will be expected to show up, See the raid rules in the FAQ and rules section.
The Gallery is fixed and accessable by the top panel link above.
To put a picture up you must log in using your username and password from the website, and then go INTO the album where you wish to put the picture and then add item from inside the album where the pic belongs.
Thank you and more will come later Exylus "

| Updates to the website |

|
Exylus writes "Well Its been a while since I posted one of these, but we have had some major updates and additions to the website.
1)st as you can all see we have a new look, its not done yet but at least its wow oriented.
2)We once again have a photo album you can go to it by the link picture on the top bar of the site Gallery, (Now i would advise you to click it to open in a new browser, I havent done that as of yet, to happen automatically. i will but this takes time.)
Along with the Album for you to add your screenshots and stuff, is an FAQ entry on how exactly to do that. As well as you can make comments on the pics people have posted of themselves or screenshot, BUT bewarned like with everything your actions on here could get you kicked from the guild in game as well, so think before you act.
We also have a favicon for the website now,. I would , like to thank Madcap and his ugly ass gnome for being my patsy.
there will be even mroe getting put on as i now have to skin this site the rest of teh way and skin the album better. But for now this should hold you off some.

| Officers meeting NOV 30th |

|
Exylus writes "The meeting started just before 9pm, and Present were
Exylus
Astria
Icelus
Eledan
Madcap
Things of discussion.
Changes in the workings of the guild.
Enpowering of officers.
Turning officers on to specific jobs.
Promotion to officer and Junior officer, for trusted members.
Actual notes
First topic was the assigning of jobs to the officers.
Exylus will be incharge of the Website programming and general running of the guild.
Astra will be Guild banker as well as assisting ex with running the guild.
Icelus will be raid Manager and be in charge of setting up any raids the guild may run.
Eledan will be Instance officer and will be setting up instance runs to
aid people in receiving the gear they may wish for lvl 80. As well
setting up general fun instance runs for the guild.
Madcap will be the broker for the guild, he will be in charge of
Setting up guild farming runs, and maintaing a stock pile of supplys of
crafted items as well as aiding members in getting any crafted gear
that they may need for their characters. As well as setting a price for
he item tat is cheaper than the AH and still allows a small profit to
go to the guild bank.
Thanner will be taking over the PVP officers job, he will be
incharge of setting up premade BG runs as well as Setting up guild
sponsored Areana teams. Because we would like these teams to be the
best thanner will have the right to decide who goes on those teams, and
there are no acceptions, this includes myself.
Jazmyne will take over as Message board manager, she will be in
charge of picking moderators for the forums. This does not mean it has
to be officers, she will be judging who she trusts to follow the
message board rules as well help to improve the content of the forums.
Second topic Enpowering of officers. Officers and Junior officers
will now have the right and power to Remove guild members who aren not
obeying the rules, if you are being a general Assmunch and one of these
two ranks tells you to back off, and ou do not listen, they have the
right to demote you and or remove you from the guild. Ignoring officers
because they are not me will no longer be tolerated. If an officer
tells you something that is with in the rules and they are ignored you
can and will catch flack for it as though i am there. I must then place
a post in the officers section of the forum, so that we know the
reasons for the punishment.
Further more if a JO has a ember they feel should be removed fom
the guild they may demote that person all the way down to probation
status, and Talk to an officer to have them removed.
Further more any officer may promote someone to one rank higher
from probation, to vetren. ONE RANK, they must then place a note in the
officers note when they were promoted and by who.
We also voted to create a new rank of Ruling council, Which will
contain the people Eledan, Icelus, and Madcap as these people are not
just officers, they are the Ruling council when either GM's are not
around. They are also the ones consulted for promotion to officer or
junior officer, They must approve of your behavior prior to you
reseaving a promotion.
Effective Imediatly the following people will recieve the respect and entitlement of Officer and Junior officer.
Quantum/Rostoff Officer
Damia Junior officer.
Changes to the workings of the guild.
We plan to aquire or write an addon that officers will use that
will place a tag no their name in guild chat such this (OFF) (JO) (GM)
(RC) So that all members can see what their rank in the guild is and
know when they are speaking to one of the guilds leaders. This is in
the works but is approved for use.
Further more it was decided that at this time, No one will be
allowed to be promoted from the rank of Initiate by any officer until
that person has registered on this website and made an introduction
post. Anyone
It was also stated that anyone staying in the rank of Initate longer than 3 months will be automatically removed from the guild.
We will post more at a later date, if any officer could not be
present at the meeting there will be more, dates to be posted, this was
a bit rushed so we understood not all could be present. _________________"

| Due to my .... |

|
Exylus writes "Due to my ever continuing search to constantly add new and fun stuff to the website, one of the things that people have been saying that the have been missing is the ability to upload screenshots, well thankfully we now can, if you go to the guild roster and when i get it done click on the link in the navigation menu, you can now see the screenshot that everyone has uploaded.
You do this by going to the roster, clicking on utilities and then on screenshots. To upload a screenshot you must have the most recent version of Uni uploader and it will have a place upload screenshots, but i ask that you please only upload a few of your screens, because i will have to delete some should space become an issue. | Guild News: New Raid Honor Points System |

|
Introducing the new Shattered Guild Raid Honor Points System.
What it is: a way for us to keep track of who is actively interested and reliable when it comes to scheduling raids, as well as an incentive for people to follow guild raid procedures.
What it is not: a DKP system, where you earn points, and spend them for loot. Though we will probably have a DKP system eventually, this is far more subjective, and more a measure of reliability.
How it works: The following actions can earn you points: Signing up for raids in advance Showing up ready to go at raid time Encouraging others to do the same General helpfulness and cooperation with regards to raiding
Note that while some of these are clear-cut, others are more subjective, and it will be up to the discretion of the raid leader(s) as to whether and how many points are awarded.
The following will lose points: Signing up for a raid and then not showing up, without a good reason General raid-related idiocy and non-cooperation
What points are for: In a word, anything. We're using them as a measure of trustworthiness and reliability. If it gets to the point where we have more people showing up for raids than we can take, points might decide who goes. If, in a raid, there is a dispute over who gets certain loot, if there is a large difference in point values between the parties involved, the loot might go to the one with more points, as we want loot to go to people most likely to continue raiding with us. When we do switch to a DKP system, any points from this system will likely get some kind of conversion into DKP. Etc, etc.
Any questions, contact one of the GMs

| WoW mounts and vanity pets to no longer eat up bag space in Lich King |

|
Exylus writes "originally posted on: http://www.qj.net/WoW-mounts-and-vanity-pets-to-no-longer-eat-up-bag-space-in-Lich-King/pg/49/aid/122503
Blizzard has announced that, once Wrath of the Lich King comes around, mounts and vanity pets will no longer take up space in your bag or bank. How are they doing this? By turning them into summoning spells, of a sort.
Here's what Nethaera had to say about it:
Players will be able to “learn” a mount or non-combat pet much like
learning a spell, recipe, or new ability, and these creatures will then
show up on a new Pet tab within the Character Info section of the
interface. Players will be able to access and preview their learned
mounts and vanity pets through this tab. Once
learned, the pet icon or mount icon will no longer appear in bag spaces
or bank spaces. This inventory space will be made available once again
for other adventuring needs. Pets can still be set to hotkeys by
dragging them to the hotkey bar, much like any other spell or ability. That
certainly gives you more reason to keep them in your bank rather than
deleting them, even if you lose the storage space that comes with it.
In any event, waiting a couple more months shouldn't be a problem, and
there are always bigger bags for you to buy now.

| Guild News: One week from our first raid. |

|
Exylus writes "We are now one week away from our first raid attempt, We are not looking at gear right now, and we are counting on the wipe. BUT if you want to go you need to sign up. You can do this in one of several ways, one go to the forums raids and sign the forum, or if you have group calender your calender shoould be set to use guild data channel, while someone who has the raid is on and it will update. yo can then sign up there. It will then change everyone who has it that is on.
If you sign up then you must attend, if you do not attend and have signed up you will recieve a negative point which could affect future raids. "

Blizz posts overpriced ringtones, wallpapersPosted Aug 27th 2008 8:00PM by Eliah HechtFiled under: Blizzard
It's not an iPhone Armory app, but Blizzard did release some official content for your mobile phones. They've set up a mobile.blizzard.com site, at which you can buy wallpapers and ringtones from WoW
and the other Blizz franchises. At this point, you're probably asking
yourself one question: can I get a murloc gurgle ringtone? The answer,
thankfully, is yes. Yes you can. (Though I can't guarantee it's a good
idea.)
There is a big catch: the ringtones are priced at $2.99 each.
Yikes. I know ringtones are big business, and I know Blizz is all about
the tie-ins, but this is foolishness. Who would pay this over recording
an MP3 and sending it to their phone? The wallpapers are $1.99, which
is equally dumb for something I could just as easily screenshot off
Blizz's concept art pages and email to my phone. Also I can't find the
USA or Canada on the list of countries; it seems, at least at the
moment, that these are not available here.
It's a shame that these are so oddly expensive, and that they're not
even available in the US, because some of them are pretty well-done. It
would be awesome to play the WoW intro theme when my guildies text me to go raid. I guess I'll just have to make my own ringtone for it. - Source

BlizzCon makes the must-see listPosted Aug 27th 2008 7:00PM by Mike Schramm Filed under: Events, Fan stuff, WoW Social Conventions, Blizzard, Contests, BlizzConVideogame Price Charts (who?) has compiled a list of seven videogame conventions to attend before you die. Unfortunately, the list seems unattainable by design, as they want you to attend E3 before 2007, but besides last week's Leipzig Games Convention and this weekend's upcoming PAX, Blizzard's own BlizzCon is right there on the list. We're not sure why you'd want to go to BlizzCon
if you didn't happen to be a fan of Blizzard's games, but then again,
who isn't a fan? They list the legendary costume contest and the chance
to try out PC games as reasons to go (along with meeting your guild
-- I did all three at BlizzCon last year), though they forget all of
the great Blizzard panels and the entertainment offered at each 'Con
(where else can you see Level 70 ETC, besides, you know, in-game). Especially
since it's going to be bigger than ever this year, there's no question
that BlizzCon is going to be awesome. And even if you weren't able to
grab a ticket (we're hearing just now that lottery winners are being notified), we'll have everything you need to know and see from Anaheim this October right here on WoW Insider. [via WorldofWar] "
